Is there any terms and conditions?

Sure, child safety is the top most importance to the Little Art Party. To make sure your party/event is remembered for the right reason, all parents/guardians must agree to the terms and conditions when the booking is taking place. This is to make a safe, fun and enjoyable environment for all.

How long can I book you for?

The Little Art Party is very proud to stand out from the crowd and will stay for how ever long you need your booked entertainer AT NO EXTRA CHARGE

How far will you travel?

Again, each event is considered individually.

I do charge mileage over a 15 mile radius from St.Ives Cornwall. If you are happy to pay for mileage or if your event is so far accommodation is needed, feel free to get in touch as The Little Art Party is open to all!

How can I pay for my booking?

paying for your event is very easy and simple. You can pay via cheque, paypal or if in person, cash.

How can I guarantee my booking?

I am afraid The Little Art Party can not guarantee attendance until both the 50% deposit is paid or (if you require the creative activities), full amount is paid two weeks in advance and T&Cs are agreed on both sides.

This is simply to make it fair for everyone as The Little Art Party caters for a variety of age groups and numbers.

To avoid disappointment, when adding creative activities to your event/party I ask all payments to be paid two weeks before said date so The Little Art Party can make sure all materials will arrive in time.

If payment isn't paid as stated in the T&C The Little Art Party will then open the date to other potential booking/s for that date.

                   What rates do you charge?

Each activity is different and so each party need will be different but you could pay as little as £25 to book The Little Art Party at your party!

Other Craft Activities Prices: All creative themes are listed but if you have another theme in  mind feel free to get in touch to see what The Little Art Party can do for you.

Is there any age limits?

Certainly not, I belief you’re never too old to enjoy a party. BUT with face painting sessions I can't paint anyone under the age of 2.5 years due to sensitivity of their skin.

How many children can you cater for?

For a private party I can not cater more for than 50 children.

What type of activities can you do?

All sorts! All curent themes are listed on the website. If you have any other ideas to which you would like to add for your party, please feel free to get in touch.

Can you just do facepainting for our party?

Sure can! Please go to the rates question above for more information.

I need to move the date.

If for any reason you need to rearrange the date, please get in touch AS SOON AS POSSIBLE before informing your guests of the new date and time. This is so I can make sure The Little Art Party can attend your party with no complications.

Fees may apply if any accommodation or travel has been booked in advance.

I need to cancle my booking.

If for any reason you need to cancle, please get in touch AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

What happens if The Little Art Party cancels my booking?

The Little Art Party cancelling an booking is VERY rare but due to illness or unforeseen circumstances this may happen. If it does The Little Art Party will give the hirer a full refund as part of The Little Art Party's appology and  determination to keep The Little Art Party to a high, professional standard.

General Questions About The Little Art Party

Who runs The Little Art Party and how did it start?

The Little Art Party was created by myself, Amy.

Last year, 2010, I had a desire to share my artistic skills to others. I work with children at my weekend job at a indoor play centre and I do craft fairs selling my own art work in-between. I started paint your own bags and eventually face painting at the events held at work.

I really enjoyed encouraging the kids to get creative and so I decided early 2011 I wanted to try and work for a school to encourage more to tap into their creative side.

Amazingly only a week latter of coming to this conclusion a local school got in touch with me and offered me a job for 2 terms. I taught years 1 to 2 for the first hour, years 4 to 6 for the second hour and then the third was for a after school club where I helped a group of children, ranging from years 1 to 6 to design and create a wall painting.

I was sad when I had to leave the school and so I kept looking for more work available. Unfortunately looking for a similar vacancy is very hard to come by and so I took matters in my own hands. So I created The Little Art Party. If I can't teach children art at schools then maybe, I thought, I could teach them at children’s parties.

Not only will I be able to encourage others to have a go at art, the children will be able to take home something that they made for themselves and so remember the party for many years to come.

The Little Art Party maybe only small but I hope it will leave a big impression.

Have you've been CRB checked?

I have, The Little Art Party aims to reasure it's clients The Little Art Party puts your child's and their friends' safety first.

I am happy to show my CRB certificate if asked by organiser/s of the party/event.

Even though I have been CRB checked, for safety reasons, I always ask for two adults present at any one party so I am never left alone with any children at any time (for instance 1 adult to take any children to the toilet while the other can stay behind). This is part of The Little Art Party's T&Cs.

Have you got Public Liability Insurance?

I do indeed and I am happy to show evidence if asked by the organiser/s of party/event.

General Questions Above Face Painting

What face paints and accessories do you use?

I use only Snazaroo for my paints and brushes. This is because their products are to the highest standards be it the paints themselves, temporary tattoos and even the brushes I use.

The only other brand I use is Cosmic Glitter as it has been recommended by other face painters but this product is optional. If you wish for the entertainer not to use this product, please state so while booking.

How should I wash off the facepaint?

I ONLY use Snazaroo face paints which are all water based. This makes them as easy to get off as they are to put on. Simply remove with soap and warm water; there is no need for scrubbing or harsh removers. Please remember that due to the high pigment contents some colours may stain fabric.

Can the child leave on facepaint over night?

no, simply due to the paint will rub off onto their bedding and may get into their eyes.

I am not sure if a child/ adult will react, is there a skin test available?

There sure is and it's very easy.

The face painter will be happy to apply face paint just inside the person's elbow and leave for 60 minutes as advised by Snazaroo.

Once test is completed, the painter will ask the responsible adult for that child if she or he is happy to go ahead with the face paint. Only if parent/ guardian is happy will painting commence.

Any reaction after this agreement is not the responsibility of the face painter.

Is there a age limit?

Yes and no. Snazaroo face paints do not have a age limit but to make sure each child is safe and happy each child will be individually assess. Generally children under 2.5 years of age is not accepted as they do have much more of a sensitive skin but if a child is unhappy about being painted in any way, the face painter will have the right to refuse to go ahead with procedure to ensure he or she stays safe and happy.

What can you paint?

The Little Art party will give almost anything a go but examples can be available on the day of party/event.

Both full face and cheek designs are available.
